How to restart the gas for hot water

When there is an earthquake, many Japanese apts shut off gas automatically for security reasons.
When this happens, you see [11] in the gas switch display.
How to restart the gas is below.

STEP 1: Turn Off the gas switch and turn off all utilities which uses gas.


STEP 2: Go out the room and there is a gas switch door next to the room. (Sancha is located on your right when you exit the room).

STEP 3: There are 2 gas switches. Sancha's gas switch is above.

STEP 4: Remove the rubber cover (if there is one) and press the button until you see the red blink.

STEP 5: When there is a red blink, stop pressing and wait for 3 min. When there is a red blink, the system is checking if there is any gas leak or not thoughout the apt. When the red blink stops, you can turn on the hot water gas and you can use the hot water again.
